Outlook 2000 Configuration Guide

• Launch Outlook 2000.
• From the Tools menu, select Accounts.
• Click the Add button, then choose Mail.
• Enter your real name for the display name (this will appear on messages you send), then click Next.
• Enter your email address, then click Next.
• Select POP3 for the incoming mail server type. For the incoming server, enter incoming.alink.net. For the outgoing server, enter outgoing.alink.net. Click Next.
• For your account name, enter your full email address, and fill in your password. Do not check the box for Secure Password Authentication. Click Next.
• Select phone line or local area network, depending on how you connect to the Internet. Click Next, then Finish.
• In the Internet Accounts window, click on the account you just created then click Properties.
• Click the Servers tab, then check the box next to "My server requires authentication". Click the Settings button, and make sure "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" is checked. Click Okay, then Okay again, then Close.
