MacOS X Mail Configuration Guide

  • Launch MacOS X Mail.
  • From the Mail menu, select Preferences.
  • Click "Add Account" to add a new account, or click on the account name and click "Edit" to edit an existing account.
  • In the "Account Information" tab, set Account Type to POP. Fill in the appropriate information for Description, Email Address and Full Name.
  • For Incoming Mail Server enter incoming.alink.net. Enter your email address for User Name, and type your password in the appropriate field.
  • If outgoing.alink.net is not shown for Outgoing Mail Server, select "Add Server..." from that menu and enter the following information:
    • Outgoing Mail Server: outgoing.alink.net
    • Server Port: 25
    • Authentication: Password
    • Username: (your email address)
    • Password: (same as for incoming mail server)
  • Click Okay, then select outgoing.alink.net for Outgoing Mail Server.
  • Close the Preferences dialog box and choose Save to save your settings.
